J. Steven Cole, M.D.
Dr. Cole was born in San Antonio and raised in Gainesville, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University for two years and completed his undergraduate work at the University of North Texas, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980.
Dr. Cole went to medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston graduating in 1984 with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his family practice residency in Fort Worth at John Peter Smith Hospital in 1987. Dr. Cole was certified by American Board of Family Practice (ABFP) in 1987 and re-certified in 1994, 2001 and 2008. He was named a Fellow by ABFP in 2000.
Dr. Cole is a member of several professional organizations including: Tarrant County Medical Society, Tarrant County Academy of Family Practice, American Academy of Family Physicians and Texas Medical Association. He is an active staff member of Harris Southwest Hospital and Baylor All Saints Cityview of Fort Worth. Dr. Cole has served on numerous committees at both hospitals and is a past president of Tarrant County Academy of Family Physicians.
He is married and has 3 children.
